Jogesh K. Muppala

My name is Jogesh Muppala, and I’m currently an associate professor at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. I’m also an instructor at Coursera, where thousands of students are taking my online courses.

Though I am an educator in the academe, I know that there’s a lot to be learned outside the classroom. This led me to create several online courses in the field of Angular and Bootstrap. This time, I’m sharing my knowledge with Kandio for another reason: to put one’s knowledge on these topics to the test.

My Experience

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering in India back in 1985. Afterward, I took my Master’s and Ph.D. in Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering in the US. I’ve been working at the academe ever since, as I am teaching at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

Niklas Quarfot

I am Niklas Quarfot, and my data-driven approach to AI has led my teams to significant results with the largest tech giants in Silicon Valley.

Spending over a decade in the epicenter of new technology, you learn how much it takes, and at which speed you need to apply new methods, techniques, and coding languages to keep up.

Bringing a team of developers to success within companies like Adobe and Intel, and success in recruitment is paramount. That is why I chose to supply my knowledge to Kandio to help companies hire better Python developers.

My Experience

I have never known a corporate world outside the tech industry, and even after 10 years in Silicon Valley, I feel fortunate, that this is still only the beginning of my career. I am deeply passionate and fascinated about making things tick and making computers do crazy stuff that nobody thought of before.

Tim Radney

I am Tim Radney, and I’m one of Kandio’s go-to people for SQL Server and Azure SQL.

After working with Microsoft SQL Server for over a decade, I began to shift my attention to Azure with a focus on Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Managed Instance. I’ve developed courses on Pluralsight and teach in-person classes to help others gain an understanding of what’s new.

Through my blog, writing articles, and presenting remote User Group sessions, I’ve been able to share my experiences with Microsoft Data Platform technologies with people from all over the world. Your business can tap into my extensive knowledge and find your next SQL Server or Azure SQL expert through Kandio’s.

My Experience

I’ve been working with SQL Server since SQL Server 6.5 in 1998. In 2008, I made the decision to focus exclusively on Microsoft SQL Server and became a full-time DBA for the financial organization I was working with. In a short time I became the manager of the production DBA team and was ultimately responsible for 1000’s of production databases and over 100 production instances of SQL Server. In 2015, I left the financial institution to join the team at SQLskills and became a Principal Consultant helping customers around the world solve performance issues, build out HA/DR solutions, plan cloud migrations, and just about everything else SQL Server related. I hold a number of Microsoft and other industry certifications and have been awarded the Microsoft Data Platform MVP award for the past 6 years. I’ve written books on SQL Server, recorded numerous courses on Pluralsight, teach in-person classes, speak at world renowned industry conferences, and share my experience in blog posts. SQL Server enthusiasts are new learners are in great hands since I am part of a team of SQL experts who are also Gold Data Platform partners.

My Achievements

Getting involved in the SQL Server community inspired me to contribute in a number of other ways to help share knowledge about SQL Server and Azure.

Erin Stellato

I am Erin Stellato, and I enjoy troubleshooting and solving SQL Server problems.

I started in technical support, then took on SQL Server when I realized I wanted to know what was happening behind the scenes. I began blogging and speaking in 2011, and have used both to share what I have learned in customer environments over the years.

Working for a software vendor for many years provided unique insight into software development that’s been invaluable during my time as a consultant. Both jobs have provided countless opportunities to see a variety of solutions across a wide range of industries, which helps me understand what companies need in a SQL Server expert.

My Experience

I started in IT in 2000, and worked my way up, learning everything on the job or on my own. With a master’s in Movement Science, the switch to technology – specifically SQL Server – was not as unlikely as one might think, as both center around data. I’ve been recognized as a Microsoft Data Platform MVP since 2012 and in addition to consulting, I create online courses for Pluralsight to help people understand SQL Server. I also co-teach two of the in-depth, in-person classes we offer at SQLskills, and my goal is passing on as much knowledge as possible to attendees and customers.

My Achievements

I began speaking in 2011, and regularly present to local user groups and at SQLSaturday events. I’ve also spoken at large conferences such as the PASS Summit, SQLBits, and SQLintersection. These opportunities have allowed me to share what I have learned with the SQL Server community, and I continue to learn from attendees when they share unique problems that appear in their environment.

Kimberly L. Tripp

I am Kimberly L. Tripp, and I’m Kandio’s go-to gal on performance tuning for Microsoft SQL Server.

After working at Microsoft University and the SQL Server development team at Microsoft, I left to build my consulting and training team at SQLskills. I focus on all things related to architecture, especially partitioning for large data sets, indexing, statistics, and plan caching. Through our in-person courses, conferences, and online at Pluralsight, I am sharing my passion for tuning to a new generation of data specialists.

Through my 25+ years of experience, your business can leverage my extensive knowledge and find your next SQL Server expert through Kandio’s.

My Experience

I’ve been on the tech scene since 1988 when I was a WordPerfect and LAN instructor at our University’s computer center. After working in marketing at IBM, I created an advertisement that went nation-wide and had to be customized; I created a database to track the orders/customizations and I fell in love – with databases, design, and performance. In 1995, I felt constrained at Microsoft (‘92-95) as I was just “in my office” writing technical documentation and I started SQLskills. I was Microsoft Certified Professional number 128 and I became a Microsoft Certified Trainer – Instructor at Microsoft University. Years later, I helped design and write the Microsoft Certified Master Program for SQL Server and was an instructor for a portion of the Sharepoint MCM program. However, my preference is always for walking through the many choices on which optimal design depends and I consider performance tuning to be my area of specialty with SQL Server. I’ve been writing articles, presenting at conferences and our in-person/online Immersion Events, as well as online on Pluralsight to those interested in the internals and intricacies of SQL Server.

My Achievements

Years after becoming one of the most sought after presenter for SQL Server – ranking in the top 10 at every conference at which I presented, I started to create more and more of my own courses for both private and public deliveries.

Jonathan Kehayias

I am Jonathan Kehayias, one of Kandio’s go-to guys for any topic SQL Server.

After working as a SQL Server and .NET developer for four years, I transitioned to the role of Database Administrator for a Fortune 500 company and then a Level 1 Trauma Center where downtimes meant huge financial losses and/or losses of life. Using my knowledge of the internals of SQL Server and application development allowed me to highly available, fault tolerant business solutions for data management.

I have been one of the top answerer’s of questions on Microsoft’s MSDN forums, and was one of the youngest professionals in the world to achieve the Microsoft Certified Masters certification for SQL Server. I also helped author new exam questions for the SQL Server certification exams and the Microsoft Certified Masters qualification, and taught two rotations of the Microsoft Certified Masters courses at Microsoft. I know how to evaluate a candidate’s understanding of SQL Server at multiple levels and can write questions that accurately assess a candidate’s skillset.

My Experience

I’ve been an author, trainer, consultant and top-rated speaker at conferences around the world to include SQLBits, SQLIntersection, PASS, SQL Saturdays, and multiple in-person courses for SQL Server. I’ve been working with SQL Server since 2004 and was recognized by Microsoft as a Data Platform MVP for 10 years. I’ve co-authored multiple books on SQL Server, written articles and blog posts online and answered thousands of questions on the MSDN forums, StackExchange, SQL Server Central, and other sites.

My Achievements

I’ve spent my career helping businesses and people solve their problems with data management using SQL Server and other platforms. I am an expert on how to build high availability solutions for data, SQL Server internals, and performance tuning.

Houssein Djirdeh

My name is Houssein Djirdeh, and I’m an advocate, engineer, speaker and author.

Michael Callaghan

I am Michael Callaghan, and I’m Kandio’s go-to guy on everything Ionic.

A few years ago I had a need to write an Android app, but didn’t know Java. I’d heard of Cordova and Phone Gap, technologies that would allow you to use web skills to build apps that would run on phones, but they didn’t seem to play well with AngularJS. That’s what I discovered Ionic, which was barely at Beta stage at the time. Ionic was created to do exactly what I needed, though it has grown far beyond that, into a mature and capable application development ecosystem.

After falling in love with the technology, I decided to share it with others. In 2016 I contracted with Pluralsight to create some courses. Since then, Pluralsight and I have now published five Ionic courses.

From my Pluralsight viewers, to my blog readers at walkingriver.com, to my @walkingriver Twitter followers, there are thousands of Ionic enthusiasts capable of handling all manner of applications. You can gain access to this knowledge and find your next Ionic expert through Kandio.

David Clinton

Hi. I’m David Clinton. I’m a Linux system administrator who, a decade ago, struggled to deploy my first AWS workload (a video conferencing platform for a course I was teaching remotely).

Since then I’ve been living most of my life in the cloud and have written three books on AWS administration. I know how painful it can be to learn complex new technologies and I think that makes me a better teacher.
Teaching is great. But here on Kandio, I get to carefully design assessments that will help match people and companies. I’m not here to expose what someone doesn’t know, but to shine a light on the knowledge and skills that they’ve got.

My Experience

I’m an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Linux Server Professional, teacher, author, and technical content provider. I’ve worked with both traditional data centers and the AWS cloud. But most of all, I love mastering new technologies and finding effective ways to share what I learn.

Josh Duffney

I’m Josh Duffney, a craftsman of infrastructure and automation. I specialize in infrastructure development and applying DevOps principles and practices to the world of system administration.

Throughout my career, I’ve shared my experience and knowledge through blogging, user group presentations, conference talks, and Pluralsight courses. Now I can share that experience and expertise through Kandio. If you’re looking for candidates with a strong automation background and a DevOps mindset, my assessments can help.

My Experience

I started my career in system administration because I didn’t want to write code all day. Then I discovered DevOps, and automation. Now, I write code all day and a developer is exactly what I became. Instead of writing application code I write automation to deploy and manage infrastructure.

My Achievements

Public speaking and teaching are two things I never thought I’d do, let alone enjoy. But we don’t often know what we enjoy until we try. I love learning and the best way to learn is to teach. More than that, I enjoy seeing growth in others. That has allowed me to present at user groups, speak at conferences and author a number of Pluralsight courses. I share what I learn in the field. Everything I teach is a lesson learned through trial and error.

Barry Luijbregts

Hi, I’m Barry Luijbregts! Others say that I have a passion for the cloud, but to say that is a bit of an understatement: I’ve been writing and teaching a lot of courses on this topic, not to mention doing lots of cloud work for clients.

For the past decade, I’ve been exploring the wonderful world of Microsoft Azure because I see its potential in helping the software industry reach full maturity. I’ve been sharing what I learned about Azure over at Pluralsight and on my own website, and now I get to share it with business owners as well through Kandio. If you’re aiming for the cloud, you need to find an expert who can get you there. My assessment test will help you find that expert.

My Experience

My lifelong passion for everything technology-related led me to the path of the cloud. This path even opened unseen avenues and exciting opportunities that I never saw myself taking, like being a course author at PluralSight or being an event organizer for my User Group .NET Zuid.

My Achievements

Aside from introducing budding developers into the wondrous world of the cloud, I was also able to earn my stripes after being named a Microsoft Azure MVP. I’m also providing private training sessions and creating podcasts in the hopes of reaching more people.

At the same time, the assessment I’ve written for Kandio is designed to test a candidate’s knowledge on WordPress and PHP. This way, I’m enabling businesses to gain a valuable player into their own team.

My Experience

After earning my Bachelor of Technology degree from India, I pursued a fulfilling career in web and mobile development. As a full-stack developer, I’ve been playing around with a range of technologies, and I share my expertise in these areas through my online courses on Pluralsight and Udemy.

I’m Scott Allen, and I bring more than two decades of software development experience on the table. My interest in designing, architecting, and writing code has led me to create extensive work on almost everything, from 8-bit devices to video games.

For years, I’ve been sharing my expertise in the field of server-side and web technologies through my website and by writing and co-authoring books on Microsoft technologies. Now, I’m sharing my knowledge to Kandio’s assessment tests, particularly in ASP.NET MVC, C#, and .NET in the hopes of helping your business build the most winning development team.

My Experience

I began my career as a developer 25 years ago. Now, I’m an author, a consultant, an online trainer, a podcast co-host, and a Microsoft Regional Director and MVP since 2005. My specialties include .NET development and architecture, ASP.NET MVC, C#, and HTML 5, among others.

Today, I established a surging company in game development, and I’m spending my time supporting the software community – and both as a developer and an instructor, for budding tech-talent. My Experience

My educational background includes a computing degree from Imperial College London and a physics diploma from the Open University. Jacob Lie-Olsen Kildebogaard

My name is Jacob Kildebogaard. My goal is to help businesses take advantage of two of the most powerful online tools in the world: Google Analytics and Google Ads. If your business’ growth relies on your website, you need the sharpest minds you can get.

Any business that relies on their website as a main source of income should invest in AdWords and Analytics. If you can hire an expert who knows how to take advantage of these tools, then you’re on your way to tapping into a goldmine. My assessment test was created for this exact purpose.

My Experience

I’ve been working with a staggering amount of websites all throughout my career. My focus has grown into the backbone of any website’s success – its analytics. Over the past decade, I’ve developed an understanding of how to create success from websites by ways of understanding more of what’s going on behind the metrics of everything about a website. If you can understand the analytics behind any website, you can discover untapped potential as well as optimizing current implementations. With my experience, I’ve learned to become fluent in understanding the language of metrics, analytics, and numbers.

My Achievements

These accomplishments are only a byproduct of what I primarily focus on achieving: helping websites grow by capitalizing on one of the best search engines in the world, Google.
